About Metropolitan Properties of Georgia

Metropolitan Properties of Georgia, LLC (“Metropolitan”) located in Norcross, Georgia is a Limited Liability Company registered in the state of Georgia. The Company was established in October 2008 by its sole owner Kelli Dozier.

Ms. Dozier is an executive level professional with extensive management experience in the general contracting and residential homebuilding environment. She established Metropolitan Properties of Georgia, LLC to utilize her many years of experience in the homebuilding industry and to put Metropolitan in a position to benefit and prosper from what is being construed as one of the worst economic conditions in history. Metropolitan was able to hand pick ideal lots at prices well below previous market prices and construct two single homes on these lots. Both of the homes sold before the certificates of occupancy could be issued. These two homes started the company on the road to growth and prosperity. In the second year, to ensure its continued growth pattern, Ms. Dozier took her company to the weatherization arena and secured contracts with three Georgia nonprofits to perform the weatherization improvements funded by the ARRA Stimulus Bill. One of the major goals of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act included doubling renewable energy generating capacity in three years and undertaking the largest weatherization program in history. This new economic stimulus bill allocated $5 billion to improve the energy efficiency in more than 1 million homes and extend tax credits for the purchase of energy-efficient windows, doors, and insulation. Metropolitan currently specializes in the weatherization of residential properties. The Company provides a wide range of conservation measures, including blower door-assisted air seals, updating existing insulation, weather-stripping, lighting installation, and installation of water conservation devices. In order to ensure Metropolitan can meet or exceed its projected goals, Ms. Dozier is currently focusing on expanding the services to include insulation services. This will serve two purposes: One to take advantage of the substantial existing job base from its current contracts with the three nonprofits overseeing the weatherization program. The second is to extend the services to individuals or corporate clients who do not qualify for the weatherization program currently being offered by the government, but realize the long-term benefits these services offer.

Ms. Dozier is joined by a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, three Area Managers, and a Field Support Manager who have remained loyal to Ms. Dozier in prior business endeavors. The additional growth by Metropolitan can be symbolized by this simple calculation: In October of 2008, Ms. Dozier started her new company with only one other employee, and today Metropolitan employs 34 Georgians. That is a 1600% increase. Ms. Dozier’s leadership style is both communicative and team-oriented; she has cultivated a valuable working environment that ensures accountability, as well as a high level of support for its TEAM members.
